    Become A Soccer Referee

Gulf Coast Soccer Officials Association (GCSOA)

Become a part of the solution! Soccer is the fastest growing sport in America … the children as well as adult leagues need your help … become a referee!

Common reasons people like you become a referee

    · To make a difference in the world and be a part of the solution

    · I love the game and want to become involved in its growth

    · My kids play and I want to get involved

    · I think I can do a better job than the ref I saw at the last game

    · I could use the money

    · There are not enough refs to cover the games. Someone has to help

There are various levels to become involved in

    · City Recreation – games through the city, referees are assigned through GCSOA

    · Catholic Youth Organization (CYO) – games of the Catholic Youth Organization. Again, games are assigned by GCSOA

    · United States Soccer Federation (USSF) – games sanctioned by USSF, generally Club Soccer, club tournaments, and adult leagues. Assigned by GCSOA or other USSF assignor.

    · High School – Middle School, JV and Varsity – all games in Mobile Co. are assigned by GCSOA

    Other points of interest

    · Training and licensing is available through GCSOA

    · Training starts soon

    · Cost to get started is very small

    · Can start as early as age 12

    · It’s fun and healthy

I may be interested … who do I contact to get more information and address my questions? Talk to any soccer official or contact Miles Ball. I look forward to talking with you soon. Get Involved!!
